Notes from Roy: I first saw Jenna play soccer
when she was just 12 and besides
being a very good player her attitude was just
to have fun and enjoy playing soccer.
She is truly a coaches' player.

I just wanted to update
you on what has been going on in my life. I have
finished my eligibility as a Collegiate
Soccer Player at Humboldt State
University. I had the time
of my life playing college soccer and I owe
gratitude to all the support from
coaches, fans, and my family for helping
me to realize that I can continue
competition in soccer after high school.
All the hard work growing up has
allowed me to have what I feel was a very
successful career. I was
a named 2nd team All-GNAC (Great Northwest
Athletic Conference) freshman year,
3 time 1st team All-GNAC twice
unanimously, 2nd team all-region
2004, NSCA (National Strength and
Conditioning Association) All-American
Athlete of the Year 2003, I hold
Humboldt State's weightlifting
records in the power clean, the squats, and
bench press as well as a number
of school soccer records and conference
records. I have another year of
school to finish my degree in Kinesiology
with an emphasis in Teaching and
Coaching. I am fortunate, however, to
still be a part of the women's
soccer program at Humboldt State. I have
moved up the ranks from player
to coach. I am able to get a very valuable
coaching experience here and have
even been able to do some recruiting. I
travel to Southern California to
watch soccer tournaments in order to
identify top athletes who could
possibly play for our program. Thanks
again Roy-

(Nov. 7, 2002) — Junior forward Jenna Hunter was not
only a repeat first team Great Northwest
Athletic
Conference first team all-conference pick, but was one of only four players
who were
unanimous
selections. Hunter was joined by teammates Gabby Ahmadia, Alita Hill, Emily
Kintscher,
Meira Dinsmore and Juliana Goldstein on the GNAC women's soccer all-star
team.
Hunter
struggled with the early signs of a stress fracture much of the season,
but managed to
finish
as Humboldt’s third leading point scorer. The Jacks’ only first team
selection,
Hunter finished
the season with 16 points (six goals, four assists).
Hunter is second in HSU’s career records in both goals
(20) and assists (18).
