SOUTHERN MISS 1999 (Junior):One of the nation's premier hitters and overall players...Was named First Team All-South Region and First Team Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American shortstop...Led USM in hitting with a .456 average and also led with 15 homeruns...One of her bigger home runs was the game-winner vs. Louisiana Tech in USM's 2-1 victory...Is also a solid shortstop finishing with a .959 fielding percentage in 145 chances...Had a double and single in 8-2 win over Oklahoma State...Struck out just 10 times in 204 at bats and 220 plate appearances...Was named to the NLU Mardi Gras Invitational All-Tournament team with a .500 batting average and three homers...Hit two homeruns in USM's 6-2 win over Stephen F. Austin...Saw her average increase tremendously since being moved to the leadoff spot after the 9-3 loss to Oklahoma City...Has hit four leadoff homeruns this year...Had three bombs at the Buzz Classic where she was named to the All-Tournament Team...Was named to the USM Spring Softball Classic All-Tourney Team...Named MVP of Lady Vol Softball Classic after hitting .429 with two homeruns and three RBI when USM went 5-1, sweeping nationally ranked USL and South Florida and splitting with host Tennessee...Finished the regular season ranked fifth in the nation in batting average and 12th in homeruns per game.
NICHOLLS STATE: 1998 (Sophomore): Batted .352 for Nicholls State with 10 doubles, one triple and two homeruns...Was second on the team in hits with 64...Has the ability to hit off any pitcher...Had just four strikeouts in 190 total plate appearances...Drew eight walks and had a fielding percentage of .935. 1997 (Freshman): Was named the Southland Conference Hitter of the Year as a true freshman...Batted a league-leading .395 with 17 doubles, three triples and four home runs...Had a .599 slugging percentage while striking out just 10 times in 201 plate appearances...Also had 38 RBI for the Lady Colonels...Named to the All-Southland Conference and Louisiana Sportswriters Association All-Louisiana First Team...Closed out the year with an 11-game hitting streak which included 10 post-season games...Batted .545 over the course of the Southland Conference Tournament, Conference Commissioners Association Play-In and the NCAA Regional in Lafayette...Credited for 17 multi-hit games during the year, including four at the Southland Conference Tournament and two during the CCA Play-In...Started the conference tourney by going 3-for-3 with three RBI in 10-0 win over Texas-Arlington...Selected to the all-tourney team after hitting .545 with two doubles and six RBI...The following week, scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning of game one of the Play-In against Florida Atlantic...Went 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored during the two-game play-in...Steady defensive player who had a .989 fielding percentage (two errors in 178 total chances)...Was a designated player for a spell after suffering a knee injury at Alcorn State (March 25) but did not commit an error in final 86 defensive chances...Went 7-for-20 (.350) at the NLU Mardi Gras Classic...Scored six runs during the weekend and was named to the all-tournament team...Had home runs in consecutive games at Texas-San Antonio and Southeastern Louisiana...Named the SLC Player of the Week during an eight-game hitting streak which included a combined 9-for-15 performance at the plate against Southeastern Louisiana and Sam Houston...Played her freshman season for Coach Harris who recruited her to Nicholls State.
HIGH SCHOOL:Named to the All-California Interscholastic Federation team after batting .393 with two home runs as a senior...Also named to the Los Angeles Times and Daily News’ metro teams as well as all-league and all-count...Named Ventura County’s Defensive Player of the Year...Prep squad captured Marmonte League championship and was a CIF quarterfinalist...High School Coach was Michael Morgan...Also an all-league and all-county basketball player at Newbury Park...Squad was Southern California champions and state runners-up junior year.
