Six Stanford
Softball Players Named All-Pac-10
Jessica Mendoza selected as Newcomer
of the Year.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Stanford University softball team
placed six players on the 1999 All-Pac-10 Team, the Pacific-10 Conference
announced today. The list of honorees include freshman Jessica Mendoza
(Camarillo, CA), who was named Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Pac-10.
Overall, one Stanford player was named to the First Team, three were named
to the Second Team, while two more were named Honorable Mention.
Garnering Second Team honors were senior pitcher Becky Blevins (Scottsdale,
AZ), senior shortstop Michelle Schneider (Los Alamitos, CA) and junior
catcher Kellie Wiginton (Fresno, CA). Earning Honorable Mention accolades
were freshman first baseman Sarah Beeson (Tucson, AZ) and senior pitcher
Marcy Crouch (Huntington Beach, CA).
